Steven Evensen, CFP®, is a Wealth Advisor at Gerber Kawasaki Wealth & Investment Management. He specializes in personalized financial planning and investment management for individuals with equity compensation, tech professionals, and entrepreneurs building and scaling their businesses. Steven is passionate about helping clients simplify their financial lives, reduce stress, and gain the freedom to focus on what matters most to them.
Steven’s interest in finance began during college, where he started out with limited knowledge of personal money management. After overcoming many of the same challenges his clients face today, he committed himself to mastering the principles of personal finance. His passion quickly evolved into leadership, as he launched several campus organizations focused on improving financial literacy for students.
His career experience includes working at two of the world’s largest financial firms, Vanguard and Charles Schwab. These roles gave him a strong foundation in portfolio strategy, client service, and long-term wealth building. Today, at Gerber Kawasaki, Steven brings that expertise into a more personal setting, where he can build long-term relationships and develop customized financial plans tailored to each client’s goals.
Steven works closely with professionals in the tech industry, startup founders, and clients navigating stock options and restricted stock units (RSUs). He helps them make informed decisions about tax strategies, investment allocations, retirement planning, and business growth.
Outside the office, Steven enjoys running, cooking, and hiking with his wife and their two dogs. His personal journey gives him a relatable perspective, while his technical knowledge ensures his clients receive expert guidance every step of the way.
