Santa Monica, CA | Paid | In-Office

 

An immersive 6 week rotational internship designed to give students hands-on exposure to wealth management, investing, tax, marketing, and client services.

As a Summer Intern at Gerber Kawasaki (GK), you’ll contribute to meaningful, real-world projects, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and gain insight into multiple career paths within an independent, growing wealth and investment management firm.

The GK Summer Rotational Internship is designed for current Juniors and Seniors pursuing degrees in finance, economics, business, or related fields. This is a paid, 100% in-office program based in Santa Monica, CA, offering hands-on experience across several key areas of the firm:

  • Client Services & Client Experience

  • Investment Research & Portfolio Strategy

  • Tax & Compliance Exposure

  • Marketing, Brand & Outreach

  • Emerging Areas (Crypto, ETFs, Special Projects)

Interns gain exposure to the full spectrum of wealth management while developing professional skills and building meaningful relationships across teams.

The internship is structured around rotational experiences to ensure broad exposure, skill development, and collaboration.

Mentorship & Learning

Built Around Mentorship

Mentorship is a core part of the GK culture. Interns are supported through:

  • An Onboarding Advisor – a peer-level buddy for day-to-day guidance

  • Rotation Managers – leaders who provide hands-on training and feedback

Interns also attend advisor training sessions, access internal training resources, and participate in regular check-ins to support growth and development.

Projects & Responsibilities

Intern responsibilities are designed to be meaningful and developmental, and may include:

Investment and market research

Client onboarding and relationship support​

  • Students must be currently enrolled as juniors or seniors; only seniors graduating in May of the program year are eligible

  • Interns may be considered for full-time roles as they become available, based on performance and business needs
