Benedict McGrath is a Wealth Planning Associate at Gerber Kawasaki, where he works closely with Managing Partner Ayal Shmilovich to help clients develop thoughtful and personalized financial strategies.
Benedict was born and raised in Ottawa, Illinois, a small Midwest town where family played a central role in his upbringing. As one of five children, he saw firsthand how intentional financial planning allowed his parents to support and provide for their family. Their dedication and care inspired Benedict to pursue a career helping other families build the same sense of stability and opportunity.
Since sixth grade, Benedict has also been passionate about dance and the creative arts. Wanting to expand beyond his hometown and immerse himself in a more creative environment, he moved to Los Angeles to attend Loyola Marymount University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing. While he enjoyed marketing for its creative aspects, he ultimately sought a career where he could make a deeper impact on people’s lives.
Benedict joined Gerber Kawasaki with the goal of educating families and delivering personalized financial strategies that empower them to plan confidently for the future. He approaches every client relationship with diligence, empathy, and a genuine commitment to understanding each family’s unique goals.
Outside of work, Benedict enjoys attending concerts and spending time in the Southern California sunshine. He is also the proud cat-dad to Biscuit, whom he loves like a daughter.
