BIO

Dan Mezzera, CFP® is a Wealth Advisor with Gerber Kawasaki Wealth & Investment Management in Santa Monica, California. Dan specializes in working with lawyers and professionals across Los Angeles, guiding them through the financial challenges that come with demanding careers, unpredictable income patterns, and building wealth. He is particularly passionate about helping families with children grow their retirement savings, manage cash flow, optimize taxes, and make confident long-term planning decisions.

Raised in the Bay Area, Dan moved to Southern California to attend Loyola Marymount University, where he earned bachelor’s degrees in Business and Psychology. He later completed his MBA, strengthening his expertise in finance, behavioral strategy, and business management.

Dan was introduced to investing early on. His father emphasized the importance of saving and investing as the foundation for financial security. At seventeen, Dan called his father’s stockbroker to place his first trade and has been actively investing ever since.

After college, Dan began his career as a financial analyst at a boutique consulting firm, overseeing financial operations for multi-billion-dollar U.S. Air Force space programs. He became known for his analytical precision, attention to detail, and ability to navigate complex financial structures. Although he excelled in this environment, Dan felt compelled to make a more personal impact by helping individuals and families directly instead of large institutions.

He transitioned into wealth management and joined Gerber Kawasaki as a financial advisor. As a longtime GK client himself, Dan had personally experienced the benefits of comprehensive planning, personalized investment guidance, and a collaborative advisory relationship. Today, he brings that same philosophy to his own clients by helping them build wealth, prepare for major life milestones, and pursue lasting financial independence.

Outside of advising, Dan enjoys hiking throughout the Sierra Nevada, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and spending quality time with his wife and daughter.
