BIO

Kiran Hodgdon recently graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and is now a Wealth Planning Associate on the Get Invested team at Gerber Kawasaki, working toward his long-term goal of becoming a financial advisor. In this role, he is laying the groundwork for that career, bringing together financial acumen, real estate experience, and an understanding of the psychology behind money and long-term planning into an approach he plans to carry into every client relationship.

Kiran's passion for investing began at a young age, watching market news with his father and grandfather and learning the fundamentals of personal investing and the stock market. Raised by two parents who work as psychologists, he developed an early appreciation for the emotional side of investing, including the fears and uncertainties that come with planning for the future. That perspective shapes how he approaches the work today.

Kiran earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in finance, then turned that foundation into hands-on experience through internships at financial services firms, including Gerber Kawasaki. Before that, he spent several years in leasing offices, where he built a background in property management and commercial real estate and saw firsthand how relationship-driven and volatile that industry can be. What he took away from all of it is simple. More than anything, he wants to help people take control of their financial lives.

Kiran was drawn to Gerber Kawasaki for its status as an independent RIA and fiduciary, a standard he plans to build his practice around. He believes financial planning is about more than just growing assets. It is about giving people the confidence to pursue what they once thought was out of reach.

Outside of work, Kiran can most often be found surfing, golfing, camping, or backpacking through national parks. He believes one of life's great privileges is spending time building meaningful connections with friends, family, and community.
