BIO

Sophia is an Events and Marketing Associate at Gerber Kawasaki Wealth & Investment Management. Originally from Yorba Linda, California, Sophia has always valued building strong relationships and learning from the people around her. Growing up in Southern California shaped her appreciation for community and the importance of helping others feel supported in their goals.

Sophia recently graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in Finance. During her time at Pepperdine, she developed a strong interest in wealth management, marketing, and client-facing financial services. Her internships in finance, data analytics, and public relations strengthened her analytical skills, while her leadership experiences helped her understand the importance of teamwork and collaboration in professional settings.

At Pepperdine, Sophia was actively involved in several campus organizations and leadership roles. She was an Analyst with the WavePool Investment Club, where she gained experience analyzing investments and contributing to student-led portfolio discussions. She also served as Vice President of Marketing for both WavePool and the Panhellenic Council. Additionally, she was a member of Alpha Phi throughout all four years of college.

As Sophia begins her career at Gerber Kawasaki, she is excited to combine her background in finance with her passion for marketing, events, and relationship building. She is especially interested in creating meaningful client experiences, developing engaging content and events, and helping make financial topics feel more approachable to different audiences. She looks forward to contributing to Gerber Kawasaki’s brand while continuing to learn more about the wealth management industry.

Outside of work, Sophia enjoys staying active through Pilates, yoga, pickleball, and beach walks. She also loves traveling, photography, and reading. One of her favorite life experiences was living in Argentina for four months with a host family, which deepened her appreciation for new cultures and strengthened her sense of independence.
